Hi all,
I work remotely, and my first line supervisor (age ~50) has a very bad habit of overlooking my teams messages. Often times I will update him about a certain topic/ task/ issue at work, and he frequently responds to said update with a question about the update. For example:
Me: File is updated.
Minutes go by
Him: is the file updated?
Me: the numbers are in the file now
Him: I am in the file, can you close it so I can update?
This happens often. lol. It’s kind of funny because I throw my hands in the air like dude, are you not reading? All aside, he’s a very smart person and is good at his job technically, but communication apparently isn’t his strong suit.
Anywho, I guess my question/ vent is, does anyone else experience this? What is this? Is it an age thing, which is why I mentioned the age.
