I’m pretty sure one of my players is cheating
One of my players keeps rolling suspiciously high numbers. Despite giving them about 50% odds on most checks/attacks, they consistently seem to succeed about 80% of the time. One time I asked them how they keep hitting their attacks and they said they are “dexterous and proficient”. Im pretty sure if you were actually that good at rolling by dice, you’d be at a casino, but whatever.
Their cheating has gotten even more blatant when in a recent session I asked for them to do a stealth role, and they said they got a “23”. Um, hello? I know they aren’t that good at math, but it doesn’t take a genius to count the sides of a dice. They tried playing it off by insulting their an expert or whatever, but while I didn’t believe them I let them get away with it because nothing was going to happen if they failed anyway.
Any thoughts on what I should do? I’m not sure why anyone would devalue the best part of the game by lying about their dice. Maybe I could give them some math problems to do well we play the real game?
