My boss abruptly went on medical leave in January and was supposed to come back in March. She extended her leave, until April before she officially resigned mid-April. This person was a lead and had a high position, I am just a regular manager and she did not properly train me on many things prior to her departure. I have been pulling my weight heavily and doing the work of a lead for the last few months and as such dropped the ball on a few things given the terrible circumstances I was with no support. One of the partners companies I work with complained about me to the director on the team who has stepped in as my boss. Apparently they were concerned about working directly with me and how I can handle things since my boss was not coming back.
Earlier this week I was ambushed and given "feedback" by two of my managers and I fucking lost it. What the actual fuck? I have been doing the job of someone much more senior than me, with little to no training and NO merit yet I still have gotten blamed for things.
I fought back - I probably shouldn't have, but I felt so demoralized. Any help or advice other than to possibly look for a new gig? I have been here almost a year and the sad part was, I had a great relationship with my boss who left.
