Spent over $200 on counterfeit butter squishies
Guys I know how dumb this was, but I was trying to get deals on butter squishies and didn’t realize the seller was selling inauthentic butters until I later bought from a more reputable seller.
Do y’all think I could get my money back if I show comparisons between the authentic butters I got and the inauthentic ones I received?
I know I should’ve done more research on the sellers, but I honestly thought Whatnot had stricter guidelines in place than TikTok Shop to prevent sellers like this. I’ve seen more fake squishy sellers on TikTok, but I didn’t expect it on Whatnot since I’m really new to the app.
One thing about TikTok is that I can usually see comments warning people that a seller is selling fake squishies. On Whatnot, I felt like there was very little information for me to figure out if the products were authentic or not. I also feel like even if people realized they got counterfeit squishies on Whatnot, they won't put that in reviews because most are sellers themselves.
The worst part is that the packages already shipped, so I don’t even know what I can do at this point. Has anyone gotten a successful refund for counterfeit squishies?
