I realized most movie/TV platforms all have the same problems

– cluttered UI
– slow transitions
– hard to actually discover something to watch

so I spent some time building my own version just to explore a cleaner approach

focused on things like:
– faster navigation + smoother transitions
– browsing that actually feels interactive (hover previews, etc.)
– better structure for collections and actors
– a simple player flow without unnecessary steps

also experimented with React 19 + Tailwind 4 to see how far I could push performance + UI smoothness

still a work in progress, but it got me thinking:
