Hey guys,
I have a question about how Rodin Gen-2 handles mesh generation.
In a lot of showcase examples, it looks like the reference images used have clothing that is touching or connected between the arms and torso, or at least not clearly separated.
But the generated meshes often come out with those areas cleanly separated, as if they were distinct from the start.
So visually, the clothing in the reference looks fused, but the result behaves like properly separated geometry — and I’m curious how Rodin is making that decision.
A few questions:
- What actually helps prevent mesh fusion during generation?
- Is there a way to make edit / region-edit prompts more reliable? (In my case, prompts often feel inconsistent or ignored.)
- What workflow do people usually follow in practice? Do you rely on Rodin to infer clean structure, or fix things later in Blender?
If anyone has tips or experience with getting cleaner separation (especially around arms/torso), I’d really appreciate it 🙏
