Hi guys. I’ve been wanting to camp on French Island, VIC. It’s a national park and always booked out on Saturdays, probably because it’s so close to Melbourne. I was wondering what are the chances of me being caught by a ranger if I went and pitched up. I’ve never seen a ranger in a year of camping in Australia and I figured since it’s an island I’d probably be fine doing this but don’t want to get caught out.

Any advice or similar situations would be great. Cheers.
