Escape vs Exiling GY timing

When is the best time to exile the opponents GY when they attempt to escape a creature? i understand that paying mana and exiling cards is part of the cost of activating Escape but can I exile their GY in response to them activating it?

6 Toughness on Riddler seems to be a mistake

As the title suggests, I think 6 toughness is a design mistake when most of the damage based removal is dealing 5 damage.

for a red-based deck. you need to 2 for 1 it just to get it off the board.

I hope we will be rid of the Riddler soon (no pun intended) as I'm tired of facing one especially if it's cheated into play via consign/ephi shenanigans

Cost Reduction vs CMC

My opponent is playing domain and attempts to cast Scion of Draco for 2 with Leyline of the Guildpact in play. My question is will the cost reduction the cmc? can I spell snare it since they are now paying for 2 for Scion?

I'm playing UWx control and want to know if boarding in Consign to combat blink decks actually helps or should use those slots for something more useful like extra counterspells?

A lot of the players that I used to watch appear to be inactive especially the Japanese players who used to be powerhouses.

Guys like:

Yuuya Watanabe (ikik ppl will say the cheater but his mtg career is still impressive imo and enjoyed watching his solid plays in modern)

Shoota Yasooka - his famous "Eternal Command" deck

Tomoharu Saito and others

European greats such as Patrick Dickmann, the Splinter Twin specialist seems to have move on from MtG as well.

wonder if they have gone to play other games or just moved on with life?

As the title suggests is bring in damping sphere helps against the Titan matchup?

unlike big mana decks (Eldrazi/Tron variants) and Storm where damping sphere is significantly better, with Titan I felt it just offers a small speed bump

Thoughts?
