PSA Plaquenil Fillers & Side Effects
I've had issues starting Plaquenil before. It made me sick, gave me diarrhea, nausea, and many other symptoms, which led to me stopping it and thinking Hydroxychloroquine is the culprit.
Years passed, got on Concerta for ADHD, same side effects, which led me into a rabbit hole research to end up finding that I'm allergic to both polyethylene glycol and propelyne glycol which are common fillers in medications, and that those symptoms are caused by them not Concerta nor Plaquenil themselves.
Now that I avoid PG/PEG, I can take both fine, and they've been really helpful, actually.
So, if you ever faced such issues with Plaquenil before, perhaps you should try switching to another generic before calling it quits.
