With this monitor..pending what game your playing and platform I’ll throw my settings out there. Mind you, I play COD @ a comp level and started using this monitor on PS5 Pro and transitioned to PC. I’ve always used 1080p no matter what platform, and I believe I always will especially on this monitor.
In your OSD settings starting from the top..
Preset Modes : Custom Color
Gain - R : 99 G : 100 B : 97
Offset - R : 50 G : 50 B : 51
Everything else remains at default, with the exception of Red saturation @ 49. This will come down to personal preference.
Response time - Extreme. Reminder, I play COD @ 1080p. If I was @ 1440p, I imagine I would be at Super Fast but I genuinely don’t see the marginal benefit of 1440p being large enough.
I do use AlienVision with Mode, Size, and Sharpness all set to Off. Only utilizing the crosshair..set to Type one and red. Pending on the color of your reticle in game, adjust accordingly. This does not negatively impact any performance of the monitor.
Brightness/Contrast - 96% and 73% - 71%. Based on room brightness, distance from screen, and in game filters applied to display. I really attempt to minimize any additional adjustments to keep the display as authentic as possible. My personal preference is 72 and 71 leaning more towards 71.
Aspect Ratio - Auto
Input Color - RGB
Sharpness - 70
Smart HDR - Off (I am not someone who has any knowledge or experience with HDR. I cannot speak to it in any form with this monitor.)
DDC/CI - On
I highly recommend leaving VRR enabled. I only play FPS and MOBA. I cannot speak for anything outside of that.
Firmware update - M2C103 (Is there any performance difference? Idk, but I am someone that prefers to keep it up to date for the potential gain.)
I have used 10 + monitors since 2007 starting with the old ViewSonics @ 22in lol. I like to think I am more knowledgeable than your average Joe, but also know I am not leading the pack. A lot of yall are a lot smarter than me. This is nothing more than my personal preference and in no way a “Best settings”. If you’re lost trying to find your “best” use this as a starting point.
I hope this is able to help someone.
Lastly, be kind to others, there is enough shit in this world right now to tear each other down. Simple interactions matter.
Take care,
Hefty
