Recently had my usual appointment with my psychiatrist. I really like this lady and think she goes above and beyond. It’s webcam and she is from Arkansas I believe. She asked me how I’d been sleeping lately, which is a normal question. I told her it had been worse than normal. She asked me if I’d be willing to do a trial study using Virtual Reality? She informed me it had exercises on Focusing, Sleepium, motivation and other options. I said sure, why not.

Well I got it in the mail yesterday, everything you see in the picture, minus my dog Woodrow (he doesn’t care to much for it). Has anyone else heard of this or even tried it? I did a few breathing exercises last night before bed and it really is pretty cool. I’ve never done anything VR, so this is all new to me. I think from what I’ve read it started as a trial study with a VA facility in Colorado. I looked up the company “Healium” and their goal is other methods, besides prescriptions. It’s easy making an account with them and linking it all up. Just curious to see if anyone else has tried it. After a week or so I’ll try to update folks if anyone is interested.
