Should I switch my Roth 401k to a Trad 401k?
When I started at my current job (at 24) I opted to open a Roth 104k and I am not sure of the rationale on that now. I am currently 37, I am contributing the max amount matched by my employer, have $275,000 in the account, and am making arount 80k. Married filing jointly in the 22% tax bracket.
What I am wondering now is whether I should be contributing to a traditional 401k instead? Should I open a traditional 401k and start having my contributions and matches go towards that account? Is it bad to switch? Should I/can I do a split contrition? Help!
