I try to go at a bit of a slower pace when davening by myself, and I feel every time I go to daven in a minyan everyone around me goes through it so quickly that I constantly need to catch up or cut paragraphs to stay with the group (never on the Shema or Amidah though!) Part of it might be a skill issue on my end, but is there a reason to go that quick? I know things get busy and there’s a lot to do during the day, but I feel the point of praying is to connect to Hashem and talk with Him, not complete a verbal marathon
