Hey y’all!
I’m building a curated 5–6 bottle mezcal/raicilla collection for a charity gala auction next year and looking for recommendations from people deep into agave spirits.
The event is mostly wine focused, but unique spirits lots tend to do really well, especially bottles with a good story behind them or things you realistically only find while traveling or able to get by having a direct connection.
I travel to Loreto every year and have two bottles left over from my last trip:
- Montelobos Espadín Ancestral (Mexico-market bottle)
- Ojo de Tigre Gold
I’m mainly looking for:
- premium bottles not exported to the US
- local-market or distillery-only releases
- hidden gem raicillas
- bottles that feel difficult to casually find in the states
- recognizable bottles that are available in the US but harder to find and a good “bridge” bottle
Trying to build a collection with a good range overall, while maybe having one bottle that’s a little more out there or conversation-starting.
Would love any producer, bottle, distillery, or bottle shop recommendations.
Appreciate the help 🙏
