I’ve been selling on Amazon for 14 months now, my niche is used books (2/3 FBA and 1/3 FBM). I live in a secluded area in the US, I have three thrift shops I visit weekly and then an additional four stores I visit twice a month that are an hour away. Luckily, I’m very confident im the only Book reseller visiting these stores (lots of resellers, but none that dabble in books), so my selection is quite large. The last six months I’ve been testing other categories by visiting the Walmart clearance, ross, and liquidation store, but this only makes up about 1/4 of my inventory. I make about $1300 profit monthly which was a great chunk to have in addition to my salary job. Unfortunately, I was laid off at the beginning of last month, and this my sole income until I find another full time job.

I’ve really been leaning toward throwing my all at this and making it my career, but I know I need a larger inventory to support myself and kids. I’ve tried online arbitrage off and on for about 6 months. I’ve watched countless videos, followed along on my own computer using SellerAmp, and I feel like I understand how to do it. I’ve spent hours and hours looking for a profitable product and always end up so frustrated because I can’t figure out what I am doing wrong. I’m doing SOMETHING incorrect, and it just is not clicking for me. I keep watching the videos, working for hours, and nothing.

Im not sure what to do at this point. Sometimes I feel like I need to hire a coach so I can have someone watch me and point where I’m taking the wrong turn. Has anyone had success hiring a coach and then being able to take off on their own and be successful themselves?
