Theorymon - Unovan Sealeo & Bulledict

Theorymon - Unovan Sealeo & Bulledict

This regional variant of Sealeo is known to be more aggressive as they pretty much own the beaches of Unova, which reflects their typing replacing Water with Fighting. Sealeo is the more well rounded in the group (besides Spheal) as it has 90 in all of its stats besides Speed and Sp. Attack making it have a use with Eviolite and has access to Thick Fat & Stamina as a defensive option. Bulledict however takes a similar approach to Avalugg as a slow Physically bulky beast with 145 in HP, Attack and Defense but looses half of its Sp. Defense, plus its Stamina ability is changed to Moody to reflect its extremely unpredictable nature as a territorial beast. Its movepool also has pretty much what it needs with Avalanche, Ice Hammer, Ice Spinner, Close Combat, Reckless Roll (Head Smash Clone), Earthquake, Headlong Rush, Wave Crash, Rock Slide, Knock Off, Psychic Fangs, Gunk Shot, and Supercell Slam.

Theorymon - Flying Type Moves

This one's a bit smaller compared to my other theorymons since there's only a small handful of unadded moves

New Fast Moves

  • Defog - Weaker Water Shuriken clone, would help Pokemon that are stuck with Air Slash like Noivern and Kleavor while giving some Flying coverage to Drifblim and Butterfree.
  • Pluck - Fury Cutter Clone, a quick Flying type fast move for mostly glassy Pokemon like Archen & Archeops to make up with the lackluster Charge moves, helps Pokemon that are stuck with Air Slash like Oricorio and Crobat and giving Ho-oh a STAB fast moves for raids.

New Charge Moves

  • Bounce - Scald & Scorching Sands Clone, mainly uses the original stats for the moves before getting nerfed, Diggersby might break it but Fire Punch seems to be a necessity sometimes as its the cheapest move it has.
  • Chatter - Wrap & Icy Wind Combination, a Strong move for an underwhelming Pokemon, might break it as its current movepool isn't too bad since they all got buffed.
  • Dual Wingbeat - Triple Axel Clone, would help some fallen titans like Sirfetch'd & Mantine and give some stragglers like Butterfree, Crobat & Ribombee a chance to shine.
  • Mirror Move - Unique Move, this move copies the last move that your opponent move even if they switch out right before using it, might be more of a gimmick move as it really relies on the matchup.
  • Roost - Drain Punch Clone, might be an under performing move since Drain Punch got buffed and hasn't really seen much play but could do well as a Flying type move and giving to some bulky Flying types like Pelipper & Ledian.
  • Sky Drop - Focus Blast Clone with Debuff, this nuke move hits super hard and leaves an impact with that Defense debuff which could help some of them PVP wise but might be a tad too expensive for some like Aerodactyl & Thundurus.
  • Tailwind - Stronger Flame Charge Clone, would help Pokemon like Whimsicott, Gliscor, Frosmoth, Xatu and Butterfree with boosting up their attack, might be a tad bit weak though not sure.

Move Changes

  • Air Slash - 9 to 10 Damage, not too crazy for a buff since that affects Skarmory and Corviknight but helps a lot for Pokemon that lack any other good fast move like Sigilyph, Swanna, Crobat, Hisuian Braviary, etc.
  • Gust - 12 to 14 Energy, not sure why this wasn't buffed along with Confusion & Volt Switch.
  • Hurricane - 30% Chance to lower Opponent's Attack and Defense added, would help this move out a lot since its not as used since the Pokemon that did use it has moved on to other moves like Dragonite, Whimsicott, Yveltal, Rayquaza, etc.
  • Sky Attack - 12.5% Chance to subtract 10 energy from the Opponent added, a small buff to the move since its been constantly nerfed ever since PVP's inception mostly thanks to Skarmory.

Movepool Additions

  • Acrobatics - Give to Archeops, Drifblim, Vespiquen, Mantine & Scizor, helps out these guys with some strong Flying STAB and gives Scizor a strong nuke since it got double nerfed recently, might be too strong for Mantine since its wins go from 24 Wins/29 Losses to 31 Wins/22 Loses running Wing Attack, Bubble Beam & Acrobatics.
  • Feather Dance - Give to Swanna, Hawlucha, Delibird & Quaquaval, gives these birds some strong debuffing tool, out of all of them Swanna sadly benefits the most going from 7 Wins/46 Losses to 15 Wins/38 Losses replacing Ice Beam.
  • Fly - Give to Golurk (Yes it can learn that), Noivern, Aerodactyl, Articuno, Zapdos & Tropius, greatly improves these Pokemon giving them a strong STAB option for Articuno, Noivern and Aerodactyl. Tropius benefits from Fly the most going from 14 Wins/39 Losses to 17 Wins/36 Losses.
  • Gust - Give to Lumineon, Butterfree, Vespiquen, Lugia & Masquerain, mostly given to Pokemon that lack a good Flying Fast move, gives Masquerain & Butterfree the biggest boosts but only by a small handful of wins.
  • Peck - Give to Galarian Zapdos, Farfetch'd, Maractus, Nidoking, Braviary & Hisuian Braviary, gives some faster pacing to these 'mons, greatly improves Hisuian Braviary in the Ultra League going from 7 Wins/46 Losses to 29 Wins/24 Losses replacing Air Slash for Peck.
  • Sky Attack - Give to Hawlucha, Xatu, Crobat, Sigilyph & Pelipper, not as strong as it once was but does help some of these guys and gives Hawlucha that strong Flying move it had before it was released, don't worry it only gains 1 win in Great League.
  • Wing Attack - Give to Aerodactyl, Crobat, Swanna, Scyther & Dragonite, mainly to buff some of the Mega Raid attackers like Dragonite & Aerodactyl and gives them faster pacing which a lot of them need. Improves Swanna the most in Great League going from 7 Wins/46 Losses running Air Slash, Fly & Ice Beam to 26 Wins/27 Losses running Wing Attack, Fly & Bubble Beam.

Once again thanks to listening to me rant on about Move ideas in PVP.

Since Magneton was able to get a Past Paradox it seems a bit of a missed opportunity to have Porygon as a Prehistoric beast, or in this case a Rock. Went with a more Attack focused build since its old Signature move, Sharpen was an Attack boosting move, as for stats its mainly Attack focused with good enough bulk of 75/125/83 and its incredibly slow so it'll probably be set to Trick Room sweeper. Its typing isn't that great other than being one of the Unused type combos, but its movepool does help it a bit since its a Porygon with Body Slam, Self-Destruct, Head Smash, Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Thunderbolt, Body Press, Blaze Kick, Flamethrower, Shadow Ball, Earthquake, High Horsepower, Ice Beam, Ice Spinner, Zen Headbutt, and Iron Head, it's Special Attack is kinda workable so you could use a stray Ice Beam to hit a Great Tusk.
