Today we said goodbye to our sweet boy, Ruger.
Our family is devastated. Ruger wasn’t just a dog — he was family, and he was my wife’s heart dog. Wherever his mom was, that’s where you could find Ruger. He loved her with everything he had.
He was the sweetest boy, full of personality, and had such a big presence in our home. He loved his humans, his pup sisters, and playing with me, his dad, and roughhousing with his younger sister. Tug of war was one of his favorites, and if food was involved, Ruger was always ready. He had that perfect mix of tough boy energy and soft-hearted cuddle bug.
Ruger loved being outside, loved his family fiercely, and brought so much joy, laughter, comfort, and love into our lives. He fought the good fight until the very end, but sadly we lost him to a brain tumor.
There will never be another Ruger. He will be sorely missed, deeply loved, and forever remembered.
Rest easy, sweet boy. Thank you for loving us so well. Mom and Dad love you.
Hug your fur babies tonight. You never know how much time you truly have with them. ❤️🐾
