Hey all, so I just started a new character and did the werewolf skip(though this is the first time in awhile I didn’t really need to) to go to Iosefka’s clinic. I remember being able to dupe the cord she drops by killing her, not picking it up, and then going to the swamp area that acts as the shortcut to the clinic from the woods.

iirc there was a certain point in there where you could go up and down from the sandy area to about halfway up the exit and everytime you did that you would be duping a new cord for when you’d eventually return to the clinic to pick them up. I’ve tried twice now with no luck. does this dupe only work for when you kill her as intended? rather than finding her T-Posing model early? or did I just not go far enough to dupe them?

enemies respawned(crows and brainsucker) so I thought it had worked but I guess not. has anyone ever tried this before the way I am? and if so did it work for you?

eta: let me be clear this isn’t about having enough cords for the ending(it doesn’t even work that way since you have to consume three *distinct* cords). It’s for early insight.

Basically as the title says. So far I’ve only done my original playthrough(quality build high level) and two low level bloodtinge builds, first for Chikage and my most recent for the Bloodletter. I wanted to try something new and was considering an Arcane build when I realized I’ve never really used the HMS except a tiny bit in my first playthrough of the game.

So I’m wondering what build would be the most ideal for me? I wanted to be able to use its laser slashes and hunter tools so I was leaning toward Arcane as my primary stat split with strength as secondary, but is that going to get me the most out of the HMS? I have read that in order to get the most mileage out of it(tricked and regular) you should level skill as well?

Essentially I’m just looking for advice and opinions. I‘m not trying to do another low level build, but i would like to be at a BL that has some activity around it in both PvP and Co-op.

Lastly, advice on what starting class I should go with would be awesome too, since I don’t plan to level bloodtinge obviously and will probably keep Endurance on the lower end(depending on what recommendations I get).

ETA: Oh! I almost forgot a crucial question.…which version of the HMS is considered the best? I don’t mind farming for bloodgems.
