Walks with Maple
Hey everyone!
My Maple girl just got her 3rd round of shots and we are currently attempting to take her on walks. She’s 3.5 months old and is a cutie! I’m sure some people are going to say I should’ve walked her the day we brought her home but we had the fear of her contracting Parvo (which she did get 2 weeks after we brought her home even when we followed all precautions). She has done a complete turn around and is back to her curious stubborn self since receiving the Monoclonal Antibody🤣
I know she’s a hound dog with the 2nd strongest sniffer however I’m reaching out for some helpful tips regarding to her picking up random objects in the street and just leash training in general. She either tries to eat them or hides them in her mouth and takes them home as trophies. She also loves to just lay in the middle of the street and won’t move until we pick her up (she won’t be this little forever!). I understand she’s curious and wants to explore. Does anyone have any tips on how to correct this behavior if it is correctable? This is my first hound dog so any tips and recommendations are greatly appreciated! Thank you!!
