Burns was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was then transferred to a better hospital where doctors upgraded his condition to 'alive.'

Active players that have won multiple majors as of now (remaining majors needed for the Grand Slam in paranthesis) and realistically could do it during the coming years:

  • Rory (The U.S. Open and The Open - for a 2nd Grand Slam)
  • Scottie (The U.S. Open)
  • Jordan Spieth (The PGA Championship)
  • Xander Schauffele (The Masters and The U.S. Open)
  • Collin Morikawa (The Masters and The U.S. Open)
  • Brooks Koepka (The Masters and The Open)
  • Jon Rahm (The PGA Championship and The Open)

AND - do you think any of the currently active players that have won "only" one of the majors, becomes a winner of one or more of the three others, this season?

  • Justin Rose
  • Matt Fitzpatrick
  • Justin Thomas
  • Gary Woodland
  • Shane Lowry
  • Jason Day
  • Hideki Matsuyama
  • Bryson DeChambeau
