S1000XR vs Multistrada V2S - which would you pick for a weekend only bike?

Hey everyone, I'm looking for a new motorcycle and over the weekend I rode both the V2S Multi and the S1000XR. Both were pretty great bikes and I could find myself having a good time on either. That being said, the dealer near me had a well equipped new S1000XR for $18k+ while the MS V2S was $20K+. It felt a bit backwards to me to think the V2S was more expensive than the SXR.

I know I'm on the Ducati subreddit but why would someone pick up the MS V2S over the SXR? SXR has more tech, super fun and fast, +55hp AND cheaper? Am I missing something? I have no plans to off-road, I do long rides in California on weekends only, am in my 40's and looking to have some fun while pretty comfortable.

Thank you, any feedback or suggestions are appreciated.

S1000XR vs Tuono V4

Hey everyone, I currently have a V100 Mandello and XSR900. Both are good bikes and I find myself split when I go to the garage to choose which one to ride. I find myself planning my day and choosing the best tool for the job but I feel like that's limiting me while I'm actually on a ride. On the XSR, I don't want to spontaneously spend an hour or two on the freeway. On the V100, I don't enjoy the canyon roads as much though I'm comfy on the freeway. I find myself wanting the 1 do everything motorcycle.

I live in LA. Am in my 40's. Can get whatever I want and want to consolidate to just one bike. I only ride for fun on the weekends, never commute, prefer to skip LA traffic and just go away.

After test riding the Ducati Diavel V4, Multistrada V4S, Multistrada Pike's Peak, and Streetfighter V4, I left certain that none of those were for me. After test riding ~10 bikes I found two that put a huge smile on my face. S1000XR and Tuono V4.

Both are obviously awesome bikes with their own relevant pros and cons but now I'm a little on the fence. Between these two bikes, which would you take for a weekend only, fun bike that you were going to ride from LA around California? I'm not planning on any overnight touring but who knows what the future holds.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I couldn't help myself, had to share this insane motorcycle. No idea where you could ride it or if it is just a work of art but GAWD DAMN that is hot.
