I need you to talk me out of being crazy and going back to vet school

When I was 26 I went to vet school, at my state school. I had a fair amount of family/personal things happen during my second year, and the summer between 2/3rd I decided to leave. I changed my mind, wanted to push through, started third year, but only made it a few weeks due to overwhelm related to family things.l and my own mental health.

I moved on, went to nursing school, and am now getting my NP.

It’s 10 years later. I don’t have regrets, I did what I had to, but I’m sad I’m not a vet. Nursing doesn’t scratch that itch, and I’m not intellectually stimulated enough in my psychiatric nurse practitioner program (I have one semester left).

I’m now married with a baby, in a super loving and supportive relationship, and am in a completely different mental and emotional place in my life.

I’ve been thinking about vet school. I’m now 35, and already have a ton of student debt from vet school the first time around.

I need you to tell me that looking into going back/restarting is complete insanity so I stop thinking about it and move on lol

Hey all

My family currently lives in a Dayton suburb but we don’t love the school district here and plan to move before our oldest starts kindergarten.
Springboro is highest on our list because of its high ratings and proximity to husbands job.

That said, I’m very worried about the amount of screen time and electronic “learning” occurring in schools pretty much everywhere, starting in kindergarten. We don’t want our kindergartner learning to read on a Chromebook.

So those with young kids in the Dayton area, how are your districts handling screens and electronic use?

FWIW we’re not completely anti tech, but there’s a time and place for it, and it’s not always the better way to learn.
