I (m24) have been trying to plan out a proposal for my girlfriend (f25) and got close to putting thing in motion for this month when something MAY HAVE fallen into my lap and made this potential proposal a lot easier to carry out without her catching on, which is the goal.
I am planning to propose in a sunflower field to my girlfriend because they are some of her favorite flower, it is a beautiful setting, and one of our earlier experiences together was at a farm picking fruit and flowers, which this place has both. The last part I was missing was how to document it and get at least some photos or videos of it. That is when another couple friends of our suggested we go to the sunflower farm this Saturday (day before Mother’s Day). I think great idea and am thinking about using that as a disguise and moving up my proposal a couple weeks.
The part that has me questioning using this weekend as my proposal is her mother is no longer with us and don’t know if and how insensitive it would possibly be if I were to propose on a weekend like this. I know it is the actual day but I am still struggling in trying to figure out my next step. Hard part is that if we go this weekend and no proposal, I can’t see a viable reason to get us back to the same farm without letting off some signs.
Please help haha. I just love my girlfriend and we both want and are ready for this to happen. I just don’t know if the circumstances may take away from that.
