Hello there everyone :)
So long story short, I’m 22 M, Came in the states almost a year ago (May 2025), On J1( student exchange visitor visa) for about 2 months of visa period; I got misguided by one of my relatives and convinced me to stay in the states, got betrayed by them( All in 2 months), now I’m living on my own from last July onwards. I always had plan on my mind to get settled in US but wanted to do it right way. Got unfortunate on that part, Now I have that fear on my mind that I might be never able to return to the states again if I go back. But now I’m dating someone and probably will get married someday but I don’t know what ways I can get this thing right, Bit in a foggy spot.
I always wanted to be an honest man, so I’m starting it by sharing by situation here.
Kindly share your thoughts and if possible enlighten me with the ways to make things better.
To be clear - I’m not subject to the 2 year home residence criteria.
