[TOMT] [movie] [spoilers] I'm looking for a classic movie where a man ends up dead in the mansion of an actress.

The man thinks the mansion was abandoned at first. The actress has gone into a spiral of depression and insanity after movies with sound become popular and she is left behind. Eventually, the man realizes she is mad and tries to escape, but gets shot.
