My girlfriend (hopefully soon to be fiancé) and I have had conversation about the type of ring, setting, cut, gem they would prefer. All while I have been patiently learning and exploring options. The biggest thing for her is that she does not like protruding settings (doesn’t like flashy, big, wanting it to bump into things, etc). She is practical, and her current jewelry is very simple, and while she would ultimately love what ever I did choose because of the meaning and intentions behind the ring- I am stuck wanting to choose something that while not going overboard, doesn’t go completely against what she wants. The first photo is an example of the one she showed me.

Which leads me to my posts question. What are some setting options that would allow for gem to be placed in the ring band, but still allow for more of an actual engagement ring feel/look?

Gem: Natural Blue Sapphire with lab-grown accent diamond stones
Shape: Elongated Hexagon, Baguette, Kite, or Marquis.

Maybe I am thinking about this all wrong. If you asked me before meeting her how I felt about engagement rings, I would have said I thought they were a waste of money and just go simple. Now I am with someone who wants simple, but I feel deserves more and trying to find best of both worlds.

Not so much an update on payment, but got email about them reconsidering the threshold amount. Looks like the many responses they got regarding them to kick rocks made them take a second look

“Recently, you may have received a communication with the title Notice of Claim Deficiency regarding your claim in the Broiler Chicken Antitrust Litigation stating that your claim has a higher-than-average volume or amount of chicken purchases. The threshold for higher-than-average volume or amount of chicken purchases has now been raised to 84 packages or $300 per month.

Your claim is now under this threshold, and is no longer being audited regarding this issue. No further action is required on your claim regarding the volume or amount of chicken purchased.”
