Would anyone how I can get my tofu like this? It is an appetizer from Cuckoo’s Cafe. I’ve had it before and it’s actually not crispy, but more softly breaded. The breaded part is thin too. I’ve attempted to make this and every time my breading doesn’t stick and clumps when frying. Also, I’ve tried seasoning it the way they do it and I can’t seem to quite find what seasoning is missing. I use onion and garlic powder, salt and pepper, and cayenne pepper. I want to say maybe a bit of cinnamon, but I can’t think of anything else. Would really appreciate any tips or advice to achieve that softness in the breaded part instead of actually being crispy. Thanks in advance!
