Hi,

I need some advice about my wood stove installation.

I have a masonry chimney flue on the right side. On the left side it is in direct contact with the wooden frame (see photo)

The installer told me the required clearance from combustibles is 10 cm from the outside of the flue. But he also said that in my case, it’s not a problem.

He installed a double-wall stainless steel flue, but it is not insulated.

I’m worried about safety, especially with the wood touching the chimney.

Is this safe ?or should this be fixed?

Thanks for your help.
