This time it really feels different. It’s like there are no leaders left in the pipeline. Even the LDF seemed to use Pinarayi Vijayan as their absolute last "Njaanallathe Vere Aaru" leader in this election , and we saw how that turned out with the losses. Nd the BJP now with 3 seats. usually the pattern is that the NDA becomes the main opposition in the next election ( or next next ), and then by the one after that, they grab power.

Does the LDF actually have any chance in the next one? It’s the first time we hve seen no active Left led government in the country..and Mamata is gone in WB, Stalin (pinarayis friend in the south )in TamilNadu is gone too. It looks way more difficult for a comeback now compared to previous times.

Pinarayi Vijayan is going to retire..he’s over 80 and has health issues. So who is even left for the Left to lead with those "larger than life" characters that leftists always wanted? MB rajesh, P rajeev, Shailaja teacher? feel like a lot of people will be switching sides in the next 10 years because the whole political scene is changing both in the region and at the national level. thoughts ? Is it a permanant decline or can they actually pivot?
