Outdoor Theater audio
I have an outdoor TV viewing area where we like to watch streaming events and shows off our Firestick when it's nice out. Unfortunately, the local traffic drowns out the limited audio output from the TV. A few Bluetooth speakers we had have been tried and the quality is not there because the speakers aren't intended for this application. Some latency issues are present as well, whetr the talking is out of sync with th3 visuals. Likely BT issues in general, but also theyre older so BT version limitations as well. Hence trying wireless sub and not bt.
The TV is mounted to a good sized shed, and we have AC power there. It should be noted the shed does get extremely hot in the summer (113-120 ambient , hotter in the shed) . So I do have concerns over hosting a dedicated amplifier in there. Equipment recommendations would need to keep this in mind.
The viewing area is ~20 feet off the front of the shed, under a covered deck. The ground is fully pavered, so there is no trenching option to bury cable. Wife does not want anything open air either. It would likely just get beat on in the weather and UV anyway. I can mount speakers under the deck by our outdoor couch or on the side of the house (house and shed are opposing sides, can't host audio equipment in the house [that im aware of])
What are some options to accomplish decent quality wireless audio for our viewing needs? We're not looking at full on 5.1 or 7.1+ type setup. I'd be happy if a weather proof soundbar existed that I could crank up with clean audio to hear. Maybe a Polk Atrium center channel and somehow wirelessly transmit to two surround speakers under the deck? Don't need a sub or true theater quality, something functional and decent is the goal that we wont have sync issues with. Power cable not an issue, just front to seating area rear is.
I am pretty handy. I just dont know the world of audio enough to sort out my options.
