I started kit 3 in November 2025. The first month was okay. I lost weight immediately so no problem there. I began getting UTI’s in December and have figured out to be the meds. I should’ve immediately gone to this sub but I didn’t.

I have been married for 19 years, never once having a UTI. At first I immediately thought it was my spouse because he recently started his weight loss journey too and I thought it must be something he’s taking that’s causing it. We changed to fragrance free laundry products, already have been using fragrance free hygiene products. I wipe front to back, we shower after sex, and he’s clean down there, we have always taken all precautions because Ive heard so many horror stories from friends.

I would get on antibiotics and stop using Topiramate and Brupopian, then after finishing antibiotics I’d jump back onto the meds T and B. We both did several different testings, and blood work throughout April and all negative of bacteria, E. coli or other UTI causes.

It finally clicked after the 2nd day back on meds late April that the UTI symptoms started again and we hadn’t had any sex since March. I finally researched and was shocked to see that this med cause UTI’s! This is awful and I feel so dumb that I didn’t put it together earlier. I’m even too afraid to take Brupopian again for fear that could also be a cause, although online articles say it doesn’t.

I discontinued all use, ordered a uti flush kit from Uqora because I didn’t want another round of antibiotics after taking them every month for 4 months. I’m waiting to finish the flush kit to test again to make sure all is still negative, we still have not had sex until I fully figure this out even though the uti symptoms are completely gone.

I just can’t believe these meds are in majority of the kits and i can only wonder how many more are suffering not realizing they could be the cause of a uti.
