Just started golfing 2 days ago. I am in need of form tips and club advice.

So I got this 3-9 iron, p, s, putter set from my grandpa and the clubs are probably 20 years old. Are older clubs really that unforgiving compared to newer clubs?

I tend to hit the ball quite high and it will reach something like 100-150. Can that be changed with a different club or is it just a matter of hitting the ball correctly?
