I want to share my experience from last year because maybe someone is as stupid as I was.
Last year we moved from a flat to a house and started renovating. With us our Ecovacs robot vacuum moved and because everything was dirty due to our renovation, it was not allowed to clean with a scheduled plan. But it did!
Every evening, it started automated cleaning. Every evening, but not at the same time. It got later and later and then it got earlier and earlier again. I checked all settings, called the support and nearly went crazy! I did not want the expensive vacuum to clean our dirt mountains that have to be cleaned by our special vacuum. Beside this, no one wants a cleaning at 9 PM and later.
One day I had an inspiration: every day a little later and from one day on a little earlier every day? Oh wow I CAUSED THE PROBLEM!
With Alexa I put the vacuum virtually into the room with our front yard lights and I scheduled them to start with sunset. Yea, you can imagine: I did not scheduled the lights, but the whole room and therefore also the robot.
Please guys, do not do the same mistake as I did.
To shorten this story I did not mention that it also cleaned in the night, an hour before sunrise because then the front yard lights were switched on again…
