Borrowing a 60’s LG-1

Borrowing a 60’s LG-1

A friend leant me this LG-1 to check out. I’m looking for a second acoustic to compliment my HD-35. so far I’d say it fits the bill

62-66 Based on originally having a plastic bridge. Bridge and saddle were replaced by local respected luthier recently. Plays great and well intonated. responds well to finger picking or strum.

Digging the neck profile + smaller parlor body, its very comfortable to play, and of course- Gibby burst acoustics just look damn cool.

what say ye?

Have a friend letting me borrow one ( not exact sure model # yet ) here soon. He acquired it at an estate sale and had local luthier set it up.

I've really been on a J45/SJ/J-200 kick so this wasn't exactly my wheelhouse, but looking forward to seeing what this baby can do. My #1 is my beloved '85 HD35, but I'd like to have another guitar around for some fun alternate/Jimmy Page tunings. -

I know it's geared more towards the mississippi/delta style blues stuff but hoping there's more sounds in there. Curious what your experiences are- thanks!

I would really like to safely launch/load a Jon boat from our backyard. Have some concerns with the last 10-20ft or so is typically mud+muck depending on the tide cycle.

Looking at Jon boats in 14-16’ range currently. I have a Ram with 4WD for hauling/launching. *ideally will have a trailer*

Fishing from the shore is challenging, we usually only have about 1.5-2ft of water there and the bottom is all oyster shells and snags. My little guy is showing more interest in fishing and I’d love to make those memories.

Any suggestions or things to consider to go as smoothly as possible?

Considering bringing in few loads of gravel at some point as well as a small dock further out on the point, but until then, I am working with what we got.
