My house is on the market for sale and we already have a buyer. We are under contract and waiting on the final details. Since my house went on the market, we’ve had no less than 10 companies come by who were contacted by the supposed buyer who supposedly lived out of state to bid on jobs on the house. Everything from landscaping to plumbing services to pressure washing.

But the people the companies are contacted by are not the folks currently buying the home. What is the endgame for these guys? Are they trying to get me to contact them so that I give up my personal information? We have turned away everyone who has come to our house to perform services.
