Why did the Warden helmet from For Honor become so popular?

I've been puzzled for a long time now, but why did the Warden helmet from FH become so popular outside of the game?

The game was released in 2017. I've been playing it since the closed beta. Over time, I started noticing a ton of cosplayers, larp players, DND enthusiasts, and even independent games using the Warden helmet. And they use it without any connection to the game or character. It's a fantasy version of a bascinet with an elongated nasal guard. I just recently came across a game on Steam where the main character wore this helmet. Oh yeah, this helmet has an "official name" Visored Bascinet. It's definitely not a historical piece; it was invented for the game. So why did EXACTLY this helmet become so popular?
I'm not saying armor has to be historical or anything like that; on the contrary, everyone does what they want in non-historical settings. But why, out of so many hundreds fantasy or near historical products, verses, did a helmet from a niche For Honor game become so popular?

This question has been bothering me for a long time. Maybe someone knows the answer? Or is it, as always, simpler?
