is this the average experience for a T'au player?
I entered Warhammer through kill team not more than a year ago and clicked on the T'au. Lore, gameplay, philosophy. I just liked them.
First comment was "good luck with that."
After some casual tournaments, storytelling campaigns and games in stores... is the community really this way? Rough and rude. And I’m not talking about the classic comments that I get when I go to play at a store or meet someone new, like "communist fish" and "what a disgusting T'au player". But how they treat me.
I don’t mean to say that I am the best, but I have won a good number of matches with Pathfinders or the XV26 (considering the winrate of the T'au). And people get very upset with me or even become very hostile during the game.
I thought maybe I was having a very hard try attitude, that I was playing very competitive.
I’ve tried to play chill, making comments that help them with the rules or commenting on my intention in the next activation. In fact, I thought that playing like this was normal and just being nice isn’t it? I even let out some cheat moves moving inches too far, or the "I forgot to apply a rule or use a ploy."
I think there is only one person with whom I have repeated a game, because everyone else would prefer not to play with me again, or not even talk to me. I even heard one making fun of me.
I had thought about getting into 40K but... all this has taken away my intention. Now I’m only considering focusing on the single PVE to enjoy the hobby at least.
Is it just me or are there others with similar experiences?
