We've been talking for 2 months and BF-GF for like 2 weeks. I like her a lot. A couple of days ago, we were talking, and she told me she has HPV of the pre-cancerous variety. She gets tested but hasn't gotten her check up in a couple of years.
We've had sex once with a condom. I'm bummed b/c I like her a lot. Now I have so many questions but want to be considerate. Am I at risk (obviously, yes). Should we stop having sex? Is oral (regardless of who gives or receives) out of the question? Should I break up with her? I don't want to ....
I'm just uninformed on HPV.
I stumbled upon the "So you are thinking about dating someone with HPV" post posted her some years back. I'm reading through that right now. Pretty informative.
Needed to vent. Confused. THX.
Edit: I should add that, from her wording, I got the impression that she contracted HPV back in college. We are in our early 30s now. She conveyed to me that the precancerous stuff is for life. So that's the impression I am under.
