iPhone keyboard autocorrect suggestion appears stuck at the top-left of the screen
Hi everyone,
I’m having a strange issue with my iPhone keyboard.
When I type and iOS shows an autocorrect/suggestion popup, it appears in the top-left corner of the screen, near the status bar, instead of staying near the keyboard or text field. I can’t move it, and it sometimes blocks part of the interface.
I attached a screenshot to show the issue.
I’ve tried looking online but couldn’t find a clear solution. Has anyone seen this before?
Some details:
- iPhone model: iPhone 17 pro
- iOS version: 26.5
- App where it happens: WhatsApp, Telegram, notes, where I can use the keyboard
- Keyboard language: Italian
- Keyboard used: Apple default keyboard
- Predictive text: on
- Auto-correction: off
Things I’m wondering:
- Is this an iOS bug?
- Is there a setting to reset or move this popup?
