My kids little fartbox 2006 Ford Focus that was their first car finally bit the dust needing about $5k worth of work in a car that was worth about half that, been trying to find a stick shift as that was something they liked with the Focus.

Been eyeing up similar years of Mazda3's and this 2014 CX-5, 2.0L, 6sp manual popped up on a search. It's sitting at about 189k kms (~118k miles), anything serious I should know about these?
