Looking for a laptop for travel and hotels. Budget 2000€, Germany

  • Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase: Germany, 2000€. Just to have a budget filled.
  • Are you open to refurbs/used? No, new.
  • How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life? I travel a lot, it therefore should be portable and have good battery life. I don't know what I think about detachable screens. I'm not for it, I'm not against it but I also don't feel like I'm indifferent about it. So if it can do that, so be it I guess? Ultrabooks appear to fit this scheme?
  • How important is weight and thinness to you? As above: Should be thin(ish). I don't care about weight. My backpack is full anyway, a few gram don't make a difference.
  • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. It needs to fit in my backpack, so 15" maximum.
  • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. Nothing special. Browsing, writing stuff sometimes, watching videos. I will listen to lossless music with it and will be using a DAC that I already have (fiio BTR17)
  • If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? Nothing. If it can run a game or two, then nice. But it isn't needed. Maybe some Factorio or some rather less demanding RPGs here and there if I'm going to be very specific. That is a bonus though.
  • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? Touch screen would be a plus but not neccessary. A good keyboard and touchpad would obviously be great. Also more than 60 Hz would be great as well. 32 GB of RAM would be nice as I multitask a lot at times.
  • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. I looked up the XMG Evo series since I heard a lot about this manufacturer in the past. Would that be something to consider? Other than that: Nothing. Have the post I wrote before I realised that here is a form for that:

I'm looking for a laptop that is portable and has good battery life. It should be fairly thin(ish) because it will mostly be inside my backpack during travels. I travel a lot via train. It should therefore not be bigger than 15".

As for the programs I'm going to run, it's most likely only browsing, watching videos or even writing something at times. No gaming, except maybe something like Clonk (as if someone would still know that. 😃). I still wouldn't say no to an ARM if the perfect laptop for me has one inside.

I only mentioned 2000€ as the maximum budget because I felt like putting in a budget at all. But if it's for example 2100€, but the perfect laptop, I'd be willing to pay it.

Touchscreen would be a plus but is not neccessary. More than 60 Hz would be great.

As for possible laptops I've been eyeing the XMG Evo just because I've heard a lot of them previously. I'm open for pretty much any manufacturer.

Edit: Added information about RAM.

Edit2: it should run on Windows or Linux.
