As an avid collector, I’ve got a piece of just about everybody else’s history except my own. I’m from the of north east England and we housed one of the largest coal mines on the planet at one point (Monkwearmouth Colliery).

I’m just wondering which masks would have been used as sort of emergency respirators before Margret Thatcher came and shut us down.
