A Ring with a War story

This is my mom’s engagement ring ordered by my dad from a Tiffany’s catalogue at the PX in Greenland’s Sondstrom Air Force base during the Korean War, some time in 1953 or 1954. I know it is platinum and diamond and I have paperwork documenting this info somewhere around here. My question - it doesn’t have a Tiffany stamp on the inside of the band. It could have worn off - my mom wore it nonstop for about 50-60 years.

I believe Tiffany’s had an arrangement to sell engagement rings to soldiers during the Korean War, but I cannot find anything about that history online. Does anyone out here know about this relationship? I’ve done reverse image searches and can’t fond anything exactly like this ring. I would think it would be a fairly common ring if it were sold through a PX catalogue. I am just looking for additional insights.
