(Working on a passion project currently)

My essay has not been started as yet, but as soon as my ap exams are done I will start on that and make as strong as possible

I've taken 6 AP's so far: AP CSP, AP gov, AP Chem, AP stats, AP psych, AP Human geo. I have gotten a B in AP CSP (freshmen year) and AP Stats (junior year)

I've gotten a lot of B's throughout high school but I've also never taken an on grade class before. I've also taken more classes than the average student at my school.

For my senior year, I'm hoping to maintain a 4.0 and am taking AP Calc, AP bio, AP French, and AP macro/micro.

am I cooked

WILL I GET INTO THESE COLLEGES HELP

Hi guys so basically I'm a junior right now, and my grades are horrible. I have around a 3.7 uw and a 4.5 weighted. I got 4 B's freshmen year, one sophomore, and 3 my junior year. In total I have taken 24 classes, which is a bit more than the average student in my class (normally everyone rakes 22 by their junior year). I got a B in US history GT (which is higher than honors, lower than AP) B in GT freshmen year English, a B in AP CSP, and a B in PE.... and then in sophomore year I got a B in GT Chemistry. Finally, my junior year, I have gotten a B in dual enrollment World History, AP stats, GT Pre calc, and maybe AP Psych IDK YET.

My freshmen year wa really rough for me mentally, I was definitely not in a good spot which definitely impacted my grades. My sophomore year was on me, and my junior year Bs were mainly due to horrible teachers or just unfair teachers which is really unfortunate considering how much they are affecting my future. I plan on including this somewhere on my college apps but I just wanted to include that in case anyone was wondering!

However, course load is quite rigorous. I have never taken an on grade/honors class other than French because they did not have any higher level until junior year, PE, health, and art. I plan on getting a 1500 on my SAT as well so hopefully that will boost my chances. I'll include my courses:

Freshmen year: GT Biology, GT US history, AP CSP, GT English, PE, Health, GT Geometry, French

Sophomore: GT Independent research, AP Government, Art, GT Algebra II, Honors French, GT Chem, GT English

Junior: AP Psychology, AP Chemistry, AP Stats, AP Human geo, GT Pre calc, DE (dual enrollment) English, DE World history, DE Arabic, DE Public health

My EC's are mid, I was on the varsity tennis team for two years, outside of school soccer for 2 years, 100-120 volunteer hours, 2 published research paper, my school's HOSA chapter founder and president, secretary of my school's FIMRC chapter, founder and president of a chapter of a non profit in my community, GWC certificate, and hopefully a summer internship or shadowing opportunity that I will do research with as well.

I'm going to work VERY VERY VERY hard on my essay to ensure it is stronger enough to make up my horrendous grades.

But am I done for? I want to go for a global health/public health major and some of the competitive schools I'm applying to are Georgetown, UMD, UVA, UCSB, UC Davis, Brown, JHU, North eastern (maybe), William and Mary, and USC. AM I DONE FOR AND WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP MYSELF??

What should I write my college essay on?

I'm still a junior but college apps begin every soon for me, so I just want to get an idea of what I should write about before they open up. I wanted to write about how the death of my sister and war revealed my passion of helping others through medicine ( I want to be a global health, public health major).

I know this is quite vague, but I also wanted to do for research on pediatric medicine topics to tie her death to my passion for medicine, but I dont know yet. I feel like none of my EC's are super outstanding for me to tie them to her death.

I'm currently in the process of starting a passion project which includes donating to foster care homes and stuff, so maybe I can tie it to that?

Or, I have this memory of going to Egypt a few years back where I saw a child and his father begging for food while everyone around them was too busy looking at the historical sights, so I gave them money because I found it insane how everyone around them was able to comfortably enjoy vacation mainly due to geographical luck and not being affected by war and stuff and how this sparked my interest in global health.

I don't know guys, writing is not my strong suit and I really need some help!
