I’m not a doctor but I believe it’s a form of child-like Münchausen syndrome. She craves her parents attention, to be cared for, and for everyone around her to feel sympathy and to be taken care of. I truly believe she is a sociopath. It’s 100% psychological. Lock her in a psych ward, see how fast she suddenly becomes “in control”. Social media no doubt has an influence on these young kids. But I watched 2 episodes of her reality show on HBO Max; she initially says it started around the age of 7/8. However, her best friend says they met in 10th grade (age 15?) before her tics started. Contradicting stories. She appears very in control. Almost as if she had to remind herself to do obnoxious behavioral tics after a certain amount of time on camera. She’s suffering from an identity crisis and a desperate need for attention. I grew up with a kid who had Tourette’s; she’s making a mockery of a serious condition. She needs to be held in a mental institution.

A lot of controversy over whether she’s faking her tics. Here’s my two cents. She comes from a large family with 5 (?) other siblings. I truly believe this behavior started at a fairly young age as a way to demand attention from her parents, think middle child syndrome. Even the show sadly conveys her parents neglecting the priorities of their other children to cater to whatever Baylen’s “needs” are. She wants to be babied and the constant center of attention. Over time, she likely convinced herself this disorder was “real“ because she’d been faking it for many, many years and had gone too far to turn back and admit the truth. Show everyone medical proof because from what I’ve heard, the parents went to multiple doctor who all said she did NOT have Tourette’s. They finally found ONE (or paid one) to say she did for the sake of booking a reality tv show. I believe if someone placed hidden cameras in her bedroom, it would prove she’s a perfectly functioning individual with an obvious narcissistic personality disorder.
