Do you have work-life balance?

Feeling the burnout at my current company. I’ve been here 5 years and to this day I’m having trouble with work-life balance. This is the only company I’ve been with for ABA. So Is it just the field or my company? I’m debating if the grass is green elsewhere or if I just need to water what I have. The clinic I work for is open for 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. However we are given clients with various start and end times so it just feels like I’m expected to be on call all hours of the day we’re open. It’s been so exhausting.

I read today. What hobby did you get to work on today?

I had such a productive day today. Even got to finish a book I’ve been reading!

I’m new to this group and newer to Reddit as well. Or at least in using it more consistently. I mostly signed up to get more insight on work related matters, but…. Chatting will do too lol

29/f, I have two friends I rarely see because they do graveyard shift and I mostly hangout with my parents. And by hangout, I mean I drag them with me where ever I go and if they’re willing 😅

I like walking, taking my time to look around and window shop, try new foods, try various coffee flavors, etc.

Anyone experiencing high staff satisfaction at their company?

I’m not a company owner but I would love to help out this field in my area.

What are some things your company is doing to have high staff satisfaction?

What’s going well and what is still troublesome?

I am 100% a believer that if our staff is happy, our clients are even happier.

Your job title and requirements for it? Looking at a career change and would like ideas.

I’m a board certified behavior analyst and currently do about 40% of my hours in home via reports and TeleHealth. I enjoy what I do but I don’t see myself doing this in the long run. It’s stress on the mind (high responsibility) and body (have to be active to keep up with the kids). I’ve been interested in changing up my career to find a position that’s more 100% remote.
