I’ve read/watched at least 6-7 different explainers on how to “Embed, not burn” captions in Premiere.

However when I’m sitting at my desktop and attempting to do this myself, I don’t see the same functions as described.

I’m using version 25.6.4 on a 2020 MacBook.

Exporting to MPG2

I do not see a tab or toggle for “Embed in Video File”. This exact phrase has appeared in multiple explainer videos on how to embed the captions for a broadcast file.

I understand the first part, you don’t want the caps burned. Embedding gives the option to toggle the caps on/off.

But within the Captions settings in Export, I only see the options of Burn or Sidecar.

What am I missing??

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated ✌🏼
