Chin implant vs sliding genioplasty for chin projection?

I have a mildly recessed chin and I want more forward projection without adding vertical length since my face is already long.

I’ve been researching chin implants vs genioplasty, but most implant reviews I find are from people with Western features, so I’m not sure how the results translate to Asian features (especially SEA).

From what I’ve read, genioplasty can help create a more V-shaped chin, but some people say it doesn’t provide enough forward projection on its own and they end up adding filler later.

For Asians people who’ve had either a chin implant or genioplasty:
- Which procedure did you choose and why?
- Did it add projection without making your face look longer?
- Were you happy with how natural it looked with your facial features?

Would really appreciate hearing personal experiences.

Hi everyone

I’ve been so bothered of my asymmetrical jaw for a while. The gonial angle on right side of my jaw is more prominent and angular compared to my left (not much, probably just a few mm). Actually i dont have any issue with the shape, hence, i like my side profile respectively.

I already tried to do botox on my right side masseter, but it didn’t help that much because the asymmetry is caused by bone structure rather than soft tissue.

I tried to get over it because asymmetry is normal but no matter how hard i try, every time i stare myself in the mirror, or using front facing camera, I keep focusing on my jaw angle asymmetry.

There are two ways to improve my jaw asymmetry: making my left gonial angle more angular through jaw implant or filler (which probably the least option i will take because i hate filler), or reduce and smooth out my right jaw through vline.

So does anyone have experience of jaw reduction (vline) on one side only? Is it feasible? And are you satisfied? Im also curious about the sagging

Any answer is appreciated. Thanks

Anytime Fitness won't reply to my cancellation email – cooling-off period ends soon. Can I just replace my card?

Hi everyone, looking for some advice. I'm an international student in Melbourne.

I signed a 12-month membership with Anytime Fitness here in Melbourne on 4 May 2026. It's an "Ongoing Agreement" with a 7-day cooling-off period (ends 11 May 2026).

Reason for cancelling: Something personal came up and I might have to go back to my home country and take a break from both my studies and the gym. So I won't be able to use the membership at all.

Yesterday (6 May) I emailed the club cancelling the membership (within the cooling-off period).

The problem: They haven't replied at all. No confirmation, no acknowledgment. I'm currently out of town and can't visit in person.

The first direct debit is scheduled for 22 May 2026 (processed by Debitsuccess).

My questions:

  1. Since I sent the cancellation email within the 7 days, is my cancellation still valid even if they don't reply before the cooling-off period ends?

  2. If they keep ignoring me, can I just replace my credit/debit card (the one I used for registration) so the direct debit fails? I know that doesn't legally cancel the contract, but as an international student who might leave Australia soon, would they realistically chase me for the remaining fees?

  3. What's the worst that could happen if I block the payments? Debt collector? Bad credit record? Would it affect my future visa or re-entry to Australia?

Any advice appreciated. Thanks!
