What Is Your Most Controversial 5/5

The fact 20th Century Fox paid Tom Green $14 million to make a movie is one of the most enduring jokes ever. I will always love how batshit insane Freddy Got Fingered is.

The New Jane Remover Album (Under The Name Leroy) Is Unbelievable They truly can’t miss. Probably my favorite project of theirs so far.

Might be their best project yet.

Hot Takes Thread (Make Them Spicy)

My hot take is that while I consider Loveless to be the quintessential Shoegaze album, I think it’s a bad introduction to the genre. New listeners might be turned off by how overwhelming it all is, because of how different it is compared to so much of what came after it.

  1. Out There by Studio. The bass line at 7:51 was sampled in one of my favorite songs of all time, Girl by Jamie xx, and it has become another one of my all time favorite songs. The album is also incredible.

  2. You and I by Washed Out was sampled in SDP Interlude by Travis Scott. Fun fact because Caroline Polachek is featured on You and I she technically has a writing credit on a Travis Scott song too, and that’s the reason I checked the song out in the first place and it blew me away.
