If apples were consistent, they’d be my safe food. What do I do?

There are times when I cannot stomach food or water (stress related always) but apples are fine more or less, if the apple itself is fine.

If it’s grainy or mushy or bruised :( it’s awful.

I went to the ER when I couldn’t sleep for 96 hours and hadn’t eaten more than 400 calories in that time. I couldn’t stomach the sandwich, but I consumed the FORK out of that apple. It was fresh. No dents. No soft spots. Crunchy and juicy.

How do I find more apples that aren’t messy and messed up when you often rely on delivery and delivery services brings often moldy or mushy apples?

I’m eh about apple slices because sometimes they’re mushy, soggy, or they have a bitter taste because of preservatives to keep them from turning brown.

I 'broke' my entire novel. How common/likely is it for a novel to be ruined beyond repair?

This novel and the characters got confused, timelines kept getting rewritten in one place and not another and then I would write using outdated info and updated info. 5 chapters. 3 Acts, 9 parts, 27 chapters.

I don't know what to do while I'm re-reading or if I should continue, start the outline from scratch, or change everything entirely?

(This is for character-first stories, everything else I have is plot driven or themed.)
